UNIT 13 - PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
This unit covers pages 395 - 416 on The Peripheral Nervous System in your textbook (Hole's). About note-taking: when you read and take notes on your reading, you must title your notes by the page numbers. As well, students should take at least two pages. Drawings may be included in the two pages. But please label your drawings.
DAY 1 - Peripheral Nervous System Introduction
1) Read pages 395 - 398. Draw and label figure 11.23 on page 397.
2) Take one page of notes on pp. 395-398. Title : "Notes: pp. 395-398."
3)Take two pages of notes on the lecture below, titled "Peripheral NS Intro Lecture."
DAY 2 - Cranial Nerves
4) Read pages 398 - 402. Take two pages of notes on this section, titled "Notes: pp. 398 - 402." Be able to answer the questions on p. 402, 1-5, on the next quiz.
5) Take two pages of notes on the lecture below, titled, "Cranial Nerves Lecture."
DAY 3 - Spinal Nerves
6) Read pages 402-407. Take two pages of notes titled "p. 402-407 NOTES." Be able to answer questions 1-3 on page 407, for the next quiz.
7) Take two pages of notes on the lecture below, titled, "Spinal Nerves Lecture."
DAY 4 - Brain Dissection
Use the brain dissection directions. Make a Power Point slide show as you discover the parts of the brain that are listed in the directions. You will need your phone to take pictures, and flower pins for the color-coded labels.
If you are absent on dissection day, please complete the alternative assignment: follow the instructions on the Power point(below), except get your photos from the Internet, rather than from the dissection].
