As an educator, I have developed an understanding of a wide variety of people, from all walks of life, from a diversity of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds that I hadn't been exposed to as a researcher. I most value teaching students who are trying to better themselves in their professions while juggling life's challenges, such as jobs, kids, or extended family, all while going to school. I'm inspired by my students!
